Anangpuria Law School organized an educational visit to the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, responsible for regulating and monitoring the adoption of children in India.

During the visit, students attended an informative lecture by Ms. Bhawna Saxena, Member Secretary & CEO, CARA, on child adoption procedures and the relevant legal frameworks.

CARA ensures that all adoptions are conducted in a legally, ethical, and transparent manner, safeguarding the rights and welfare of children. It maintains a centralized system for domestic adoptions and coordinates with authorized adoption agencies across the country. CARA also regulates inter-country adoptions, ensuring that prospective foreign adoptive parents meet the prescribed eligibility criteria and that the adoption process compiles with  International conventions and Indian laws.
