The purpose of the visit was to coax the young minds of future lawyers toward the environmental laws of the country. Students got to know that NGT has jurisdiction over environmental matters to the exclusion of the civil courts. The NGT is an independent body which works for the betterment of the environment in India. Its mission is to ensure the expeditious and effective disposal of all the cases related to our environment. It also undertakes the task of formulating rules and regulations for the conservation of the environment and natural resources.
